Visit Kanchi

Two Buddha images are located inside the temple premises. One statue has its hand in the Bhu-Sparsha Mudra, while the other has both hands in the Yoga Mudra pose. The origins of these idols within the temple are unclear. Some scholars suggest that the temple may have originally been a Buddhist Tara Devi shrine before being converted into a Hindu goddess temple. Regardless of its history, visitors to the temple worship these Buddha images alongside the other deities present.

Location

On Mettu Street, near Kavitha Medical Shop, there is a road that leads inward. The temple is located at the end of this road.
